Maize Grain
Our main crop, grown on our nucleus farm and bought from out-growers across Northern Uganda.
We turn over approximately 25,000 tons of maize grain per season. We grow over 5,000 tons ourselves and buy over 20,000 tons from out-growers in our catchment area.
Our nucleus farm in Nwoya District is fully mechanised. At full capacity we aim to yield an average of 10,000 tons of maize a year, harvested by combines that can each bring in 100 tons of maize a day.
Grain is cleaned and dried at our facility in Nwoya District, where farmers’ produce is gathered for processing, storage and shipment to buyers.
