About us

Among the leading maize grain producers in Uganda, rooted in the fertile Nile basin.

Our story

Good for farmers, the community and Uganda

Nile Fresh Produce is among the leading maize grain producers in Uganda. Our name comes from the rich, fertile farmland around the life-giving Nile basin, where our quality, high-grade produce is grown.

We chose it because our work has a positive impact not only on local farmers but also on the local community and the Ugandan economy.

Social responsibility

Helping farmers grow 4–5 tons an acre

Our goal is to build agricultural infrastructure that empowers local farmers and transfers technology, skills and best practice, so that farmers in Uganda can reach maximum yields of 4–5 tons per acre.

We help farmers cut post-harvest losses through better handling, and promote a sustainable model through ideas like “farming as a business” and “one village, one commodity”. Rural farmers produce enough for their homes and plenty extra for sale, bulked into good-quality lots that attract premium buyers.
